Milan, Ohio, best known for the invention of Thomas Edison, plays host every year to the nation’s premiere Melon Festival! As the hometown of Mickey Mart and the base of operation of the indomitable Mickey the Moose, participation in the 2018 festivities was a must do!
And a Moose must do what a Moose must do.
Rallying the troops, trucks, and talent to the Labor Day Sunday event, the gregarious Moose was greeted by throngs of onlookers. The best was saved for last as a Mickey Statue was towed by the Mighty Moose Van to lead a procession of Coles Energy trucks right through the middle of town!
Parade watchers were in awe and in spite of the sweltering 90-degree heat the parade and the Melan Festival appeared to be a big hit! This will be a tough act to follow but wait until next year.
